Our Data Care Program helps Older Adults learn how to keep their personal information safe online. Experienced experts volunteer their time to teach you how to protect yourself from hackers and scammers, so you can feel confident using technology. Our goal is to create a community where participants leave with more knowledge and confidence when it comes to navigating in the cyber world.

Data Care - Frequently Asked Questions

Data Care is a program that provides information to protect PIC member’s personal information while using their electronic devices and credit cards. How to defend ones data against hackers and scammers. Reduce your fear of technology as you learn to confidently explore the cyber world.
Member of PIC have priority however nonmembers may attend for a small nominal fee.
Classes are scheduled 3 – 4 times a year as long as we have volunteers to facilitate them.
Members are given information how to build strong passwords, how to store passwords securely and how to report illegal activity.
There is no cost for members as long as they have met their commitment to the organization.
