Veterans Helping Veterans

Community-Centric Support in Maryland

Our Veterans Helping Veterans program supports veterans and their spouses through shared service, care programs, volunteer opportunities, and social engagement. Built on our unique model of Neighbors Helping Neighbors, our Veterans Helping Veterans program empowers older adults to experience independence, dignity, and camaraderie in community.

A Community That Honors and Supports Veterans

Many veterans face aging alone, without nearby family or a strong support network. That’s where Veterans Helping Veterans comes in.

Through this unique community-based program, Partners In Care Maryland, Inc. helps veterans remain in their homes by matching them with services like transportation, home handyman repairs, and friendly visits. Our team visits each veteran to assess their needs—or learn how they’d like to give back. Some are retired mechanics or handymen. Others simply want to offer a listening ear and friendly voice. Whether they need support or want to serve others through our unique volunteer opportunities, veterans over 60 can participate in our service exchange model and bank time for the future.

Testimonials From Ride Partners

"We have worked with Partners in Care for years and use their vans and crew to transport our assisted living residents to events around the area. Their staff is beyond friendly, accommodating and always willing to exceed expectations and take the utmost care in the safety and enjoyment of our residents. Could not recommend them more highly and we consider ourselves very fortunate to work with such a quality organization."
