PIC Ride Partner Volunteers utilize their own vehicles to provide transportation to fellow PIC Members with arm-in-arm, door-through-door service to pivotal destinations that positively impact the health and well-being of their peers. From non-emergency medical appointments to visits to the pharmacy and grocery store, they are there to assist, waiting nearby for the return trip home. Anywhere you would typically grab your keys and drive to, these dedicated individuals are ready to provide – not just a ride – but, a journey filled with compassionate care, friendly conversation, and genuine smiles!
Through our service exchange, this program offers transportation to the doctor, to run errands & much more. All provided by our vibrant volunteer drivers. We help our older adults remain independent as they age, and take pride in being a part of our members’ community of support.

No. Matchmakers and PIC staff work diligently to match ride requests but sometimes are unable to find a driver. Staff will call you at least 24 hours before scheduled ride to update you on the status of the ride. We always encourage members to have a Plan B in the event PIC is unable to find a volunteer driver.
The member is responsible for all parking and toll fees.
You must identify all stops when you call to schedule the initial ride request. We ask that you limit your ride requests to two stops. Remember PIC drivers are Volunteers and may have other commitments. You might consider two stops one week ad the remaining stops. The following week.
