Partners In Care Maryland, Inc. and the Maryland Department of Veterans and Military Families (DVMF) Collaborating Through Maryland Joins Forces Initiative to Support Veterans
Pasadena, MD — August 10, 2026— Partners In Care Maryland, Inc. (PIC) has entered into a partnership with the Maryland Department of Veterans and Military Families (DVMF) through the Maryland Joins Forces (MJF) initiative to strengthen connections and resources available to Maryland’s veterans, service members, and military families.
Through this partnership, Partners In Care Maryland, Inc. and DVMF will collaborate to increase awareness of programs and resources that support the military-connected community. The partnership focuses on building stronger networks of support, improving access to community resources, and helping ensure veterans and military families have opportunities to remain connected, engaged, and supported. This will contribute towards their health and wellness and volunteer service focus areas.
“Partners In Care Maryland has always believed in the power of neighbors helping neighbors,” said Lauren Lucabaugh, Member Care Manager. “This partnership allows us to extend that mission to more veterans and military families by connecting them with services, volunteers, and community resources that can help them thrive.”
Programs offered by Partners In Care Maryland that may benefit military-connected individuals include:
Veterans Helping Veterans – A program that connects veterans through volunteer opportunities, peer support, and shared experiences.
Ride Partners – Volunteer transportation services that help older adults maintain independence and stay connected to their communities.
Repairs With Care – Volunteer handyman services that help older adults remain safe and independent in their homes.
Time Banking and Volunteer Programs – A neighbor-to-neighbor service exchange model where members give and receive support based on their needs and abilities.
The partnership will also support greater awareness of available resources through community outreach, information sharing, and collaborative engagement opportunities.
Partners In Care Maryland and DVMF will continue working together to expand awareness, strengthen community connections, and identify opportunities to better serve veterans and military families throughout Maryland.
