Helping Older Adults Stay Independent and Engaged
Partners In Care Maryland, Inc. is a volunteer-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit and a leader in home support services for older adults across the state. We provide aging in place support through community programs that help our members live independently at home and stay actively engaged in their communities.

Our Mission
Exchanging Time, Creating Community
Help older adults live independently in their own homes and actively engage in the community by a unique culture of service exchange where members volunteer their time and talents to help each other with neighborly services such as transportation, handyman repairs, person-centered support, and social engagement. In exchange, those members ask for assistance when needed.

Neighbors Helping Neighbors since 1993
For more than three decades, our companionship and support services have helped promote health and wellness, prevent social isolation, encourage connections, and empower older adults to thrive while aging in place.
Our Ride Partners program provides members with arm-in-arm, door-through-door transportation to medical facilities, healthcare appointments, grocery stores, pharmacies, banks, and errands. This reliable transportation is a key part of our aging in place support services.
Our Repairs with Care program helps members with common household tasks—from changing light bulbs to repairing faucets and installing safety items like grab bars. These home support services help members stay safe and independent in their homes.
Member Care is a person-centered program that provides advocacy and encourages community engagement through social learning events and opportunities to build community.
Our Upscale Resale Boutique is a social enterprise where proceeds support the organization. Members also volunteer at the boutique—banking time, making new friends, and staying engaged in the community.
At its core, PIC exists to build and sustain a caring community where our members can thrive by giving and receiving support.
We invite you to learn more about getting involved—and how you can make a difference in the lives of older adults.
