Volunteer services offered free to members
This program offers no-cost transportation to the doctor, to run errands & much more. All provided by our vibrant volunteer drivers. We help our older adults remain independent as they age, and take pride in being a part of our members’ community of support.
This program operates a small fleet of lift-equipped buses in Anne Arundel County used to provide curb-to-curb transportation to individuals who are ambulatory and/or non-ambulatory. This is an on-demand service. The costs associated with the rides are based on time and distance. Mobility rides are guaranteed and our Frederick bus is coming soon!
Repairs with Care
Partners In Care volunteers help members maintain their homes for safe and independent living. Services include: nonprofessional skills such as light carpentry, repairing leaky faucets and toilets, replacing light bulbs, and addressing safety issues by installing handrails, repairing stairs, and installing bathroom safety equipment. Our technological volunteers assist members with computer technology such as how to use iPhones and tablets. Members will pay for repair materials, but the service is free of cost. Availability of repairs is dependent on the gifts and talents of our volunteers.
This program offers person-centered support, advocacy, and social engagement opportunities for members of Partners In Care. The Member Care team provides assistance with navigating county and state agencies, offering resource referrals, and assistance with completing forms and applications. Through our Warm House Program, creative, community-based activities and gatherings are planned regularly to address social isolation and to build community. Additional services include assistance with shopping online, friendly visits and phone calls, and picking up groceries and prescriptions.
One-on-one phone calls for members to chat with other older adults to prevent loneliness and social isolation.
